Over the last decade The Ashlar Company has grown from a small one man operation into the worlds leading manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of Masonic rings and regalia. Since day one, we have been staffed exclusively by brothers, mostly past masters. We provide a steady stream of work for brethren that manufacture Masonic goods all over the world. Orphans and widows repeatedly turn to us for honest, objective advice on what to do with rings and regalia left to them by loved ones. At our peak, we carried over 10,000 unique products but have since cut that number down through a long evaluation process taking class, quality and demand into consideration. Today we focus primarily on Masonic rings, car emblems, artwork and lapel pins. Unfortunately many of our exclusive designs have been poorly reproduced by counterfeiters and now litter the internet on faceless websites. We repeatedly get calls from defrauded brothers upset that an item broke almost immediately only to have to tell them that they were the unfortunate recipient of a Chinese counterfeit sold by another website unrelated to us. In terms of manpower we still remain a relatively small company and because we refuse to contract out work that could provide a job for a fellow brother, we do not use call centers, drop shippers or any of those types of services that you so frequently see on thin shell companies based out of China or Pakistan. The trade off for this is that some days there is simply no one in the office and sometimes it may take us a day or two to return your phone call. But worry not, we have advanced computer systems and databases (Built by a brother) to prevent things from falling through the cracks and we will always make our best efforts to bring you the best service possible. Started by 2 Mason pals back in 2007 the small website sold a few interesting items such as pins and other accessories. While both Brothers worked full time careers, in their evenings, they managed the website and sent out the small items by Post from small home based offices.
We then began sourcing products from various suppliers and producers as well as manufacturing here at home. We have learned how to source quality products and as well as designing our own brand, creating traditional items such as aprons and other regalia. There are local skilled sewers, woodworkers, couriers, and many more skilled workers in our arsenal. We have successfully created and grown our brand and continue to look at more designs that suit our customer’s needs.
And people started to take notice. The website became more active and gathered more visitors. Those visitors commented and shopped and became buyers and then those buyers enjoyed our customer service, quality product and product knowledge and then those buyers became customers. A bit of Macoy’s History: Robert Macoy, founder of our company that eventually became known as Macoy Publishing and Masonic Supply Co., was an early leader and pioneer in the world of Freemasonry. He was awarded the 33rd degree, but is remembered mostly as Past Grand Secretary and Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of New York and as Grand Recorder of the Grand Commandery of New York, and as founder of the Chapter system of the Order of the Eastern Star. He wrote and published several Masonic books, many of which are still standard even today.

Brother John Trikouros was Entered, Passed and Raised during a one day class in Ohio on May 11th, 2013. Since then he has joined many other bodies of Masonry. On November 9th, 2013 he joined the NMJ of Scottish Rite @ the Valley of Columbus Ohio. Since then he has filled his 1st Passport ( 11/9/13 – 11/21/15 ) 2nd Passport ( 12/6/16 – 11/4/17 ) 3rd Passport ( 11/4/17 – 4/13/19 ) & is currently working on his 4th Passport !! On June 11th, 2016 he joined Aladdin Shriners out of Grove City, Ohio. On February 4th 2017 he and his wife joined Beacon Chapter 593 of the Ohio Order of Eastern Stars. He has also completed all 3 of the Southern Jurisdictions Master Craftsman Program ! He is also currently taking the Hauts Grades Academy program offered in the NMJ of Scottish Rite !! On May 23rd, 2018 he joined Achbar Grotto in Whitehall, Ohio !! On January 5th, 2019 he was installed as Marshal of Beacon Chapter #593 OES of Ohio !!! On January 23rd, 2019 he was installed as Marshal of Achbar Grotto ! On May 11th, 2019 he joined York Rite of Ohio in a one day class, where he received all the degrees, except SEM & OTT !!!
